What this service entails
The Everyday Scrap Run, Done Right
Most of our pickups start the same way: a garage cleanout, a basement full of old pipe, a rental turnover with a mountain of curtain rods, shelving, and mystery brackets. You point at the pile; our crew sorts ferrous from non-ferrous, loads the truck, and sweeps the spot clean.
Valuable metals are weighed on a certified scale right where you can see it, and you’re paid on the spot at that day’s market rate — no “we’ll mail you a check,” no grading games. Low-grade mixed scrap still goes free; it just doesn’t earn a payout. Either way you pay nothing for the haul.

The process
How a Scrap Pickup Goes
Show Us the Pile
Call or text photos of the scrap. We identify the metals, flag anything payable, and set your free window.
We Sort & Load
The crew separates copper, aluminum, brass, and steel as they load, so every grade is weighed correctly.
Weigh, Pay, Sweep
Valuable metal is weighed in front of you and paid on the spot. Then we sweep the area clean.
Scrap pickup questions
Quick Answers
A single water heater or a trunk-load of copper is enough in most of Metro Detroit — we route small pickups together by neighborhood, so it stays free for you either way.
We weigh on a certified scale in front of you and pay that day’s published market rate by grade. You see the weight, the grade, and the math before a dollar changes hands.
No. Leave the pile exactly as it is — sorting is our job, and doing it on site is how we make sure every grade is counted in your favor.
