Structural Steel Yard
Sterling Heights · Industrial Metal · A warehouse reset left bays of racking, beams, and offcuts — sorted, ticketed, and cleared over a single weekend.
The Job
A third-party logistics warehouse in Sterling Heights re-laid its floor plan and ended up with four bays of orphaned steel: pallet racking uprights, wire decks, cantilever arms, and a back lot of beam offcuts from the mezzanine build. Monday brought forklifts for the new layout — everything steel had to be gone by Sunday night.
Friday walk, Saturday and Sunday work. Two flatbed rotations, a cutting crew for the oversized beams, and a standing magnet sweep so no strapping or clips ended up in a forklift tire. Every load left with a scale ticket, the copper bus-bar from the old charging station paid back to the facility, and the recycling certificate hit the manager’s inbox Monday morning — ahead of the forklifts.
