The Job
Behind a Warren body shop sat the backlog every shop knows: customer cars abandoned mid-repair, parts donors picked clean, and two shells the city had flagged. The owner needed the lot back for paying work, but three of the titles were murky and one car had no keys, no wheels, and a tree growing through the subframe.
We ran the VINs first and sorted the paperwork — two duplicate-title applications, one affidavit-qualifying shell — then brought the rollback over two mornings so the shop never lost a bay. Catalytic converters were cut and graded separately (that was the owner’s payout), aluminum rims went in their own pile, and every shell left with fluids captured and a signed transfer. The inspector closed the violation the same week.
